"If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. Since Exodus Elohim makes it clear what His Sign would be that separated His chosen people - It is His Law (Torah). The prior 6 Proofs prove this beyond any doubt.
Note how the exact chapter and verse (13:16) coincide between Exodus and Revelation yet are polar opposites that identify the chosen of God and the other identifies those who fall for the Beast.Visit "666 Marks of the Beast" chapter (here)
And it will be like a sign on your hand and a symbol on your forehead that the LORD brought us out of Egypt with his mighty hand."
You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
with a mighty hand and outstretched arm; His love endures forever.
Some will say, 'I belong to the LORD'; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, 'The LORD's,' and will take the name Israel.
And it shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt.
a sign. This expression, says Michaelis, alludes to the custom of the Orientals, of burning in their right hand all kinds of marks with the ashes of henna, which gives an indelible colour; and this is done even to this day. They were likewise accustomed to write all kinds of sayings, and frequently superstitious words, on slips or pieces of linen, which they wore as ornaments on their foreheads.
It is worth mentioning that the Man of the Shroud of Turin - the definitive physical proof of the existence and resurrection of the Nazarene Messiah - is wearing a Tefillin - a pair of black leather boxes containing Hebrew parchment scrolls of the Law.
Verse 9. - And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes. There can be no doubt that the Jewish system of tephillin, or "phylacteries," grew mainly out of this passage, and was intended as a fulfilment of the commands contained in it. The tephillin were strips of parchment with passages of Scripture written upon them and deposited in small boxes, which were fastened by a strap either to the left arm, or across the forehead. The modern Jews argue that they were what Moses here intended, and that their employment began from this time. Some Christian commentators agree with them.
* "Seal" in Greek:
STRONGS NT 4972: σφραγίζω
(σφραγίς, which see); the Sept. for חָתַם; to set a seal upon, mark with a seal, to seal;
Now, notice very carefully what the Book of Revelation states regarding having God's Seal (Sign/Mark):
Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal* of the living God. He called out in a loud voice
to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:
"Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal* on the foreheads of the servants of our God."
"Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have
power.4They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do
not have the seal* of God on their foreheads."
The above relates to the Apocalypse's 5th Trumpet punishment upon mankind... who does NOT get hurt? The men who have the seal of God on their foreheads and what did we see above that is God's seal? HIS LAW.
