THE LAW IS THE WORD OF GOD

Understanding precisely what the WORD of GOD truly means and how it connects the LAW and TESTIMONY to Enter the Kingdom of Heaven as revealed from Genesis to Revelation:

Revelation 19:11-13

"The Rider on the White Horse

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war12His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.13And He wore a garment soaked with blood, and His name is called the WORD OF GOD".

[3056 (lógos) is a common term (used 330 times in the NT) with regards to a person sharing a message (discourse, "communication-speech"). 3056 (lógos) is a broad term meaning "reasoning expressed by words."]

...And what does Torah mean?

The Hebrew word, torah (תורה), is derived from a root that was used in the realm of archery, yareh (ירה). Yareh means to shoot an arrow in order to hit a mark. The mark or target, of course, was the object at which the archer was aiming. Consequently, torah, one of the nouns derived from this root, is, therefore, the arrow aimed at the mark, The target is the truth about God and how one relates to Him. The torah is, therefore, in the strict sense INSTRUCTION designed to teach us the truth about God. Torah means direction, TEACHING, INSTRUCTION, or DOCTRINE.

COMMANDMENT/LAW in GREEK and HEBREW

Greek words "Logon" & "Entolas" and Hebrew word "Halakha" Have SAME Meaning

If you investigate the Interlinear application in biblos.com, you will find that the first 4 and the 7th Revelation scriptures above have the Greek word "logon" (Strong's # 3056[e]) meaning word/instruction/command(ment) and scriptures 5 and 6 have the Greek word "entolas" (Strong's # 1785[e]) meaning commandment. This is EXACTLY the same meaning of the Hebrew word "Halakha" meaning commandment and "the way" -   which is precisely the name of the sect that the Natsraya - the Messiah's sect of followers - were identified by who kept the commandments (Law) and gave testimony that the Nazarene was and is the Son of God.

Halakha

Halakha (HebrewהֲלָכָהSephardic: [halaˈχa]; also transliterated as halacha or halachah) or halocho (Ashkenazic: [haˈloχo]) is the collective body of Jewish religious laws derived from the Written and Oral Torah. It includes the 613 mitzvot ("commandments"), subsequent talmudic and rabbinic law and the customs and traditions compiled in the Shulchan Aruch (literally "Set Table", but more commonly known as the "Code of Jewish Law").  [Editor's note: the "Law" was not established exclusively for Jews but for ALL the 12 tribes of Israel]

Judaism classically draws no distinction in its laws between religious and non-religious life; Jewish religious tradition does not distinguish clearly between religious, national, racial, or ethnic identities.[1] Halakha guides not only religious practices and beliefs, but numerous aspects of day-to-day life. Halakha is often translated as "Jewish Law", [See Editor's note above] although a more literal translation might be "the path" or "the way of walking". The word derives from the root that means to go or to walk.

HODOU

Appearance of "the Way" in the New Testament meaning the sect that the Nazarenes (Natsraya) belonged to who kept THE LAW:

Acts 9:2
...and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way (Hodou 3598e), men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

Acts 19:9
But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way (Hodon 3598e) before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.

Acts 19:23
About that time there arose no little disturbance concerning the Way (Hodou 3598e).

Acts 24:14
But this I confess to you, that according to the Way (Hodon 3598e), which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets,

Acts 24:22

But Felix, having a rather accurate knowledge of the Way
(Hodou 3598e), put them off, saying, “When Lysias the tribune comes down, I will decide your case.”

It is no coincidence that "the way" (Halakha) for Commandment/Law in Hebrew is the PRECISE NAME GIVEN TO THE SECT "the Way" (Hodou) in Greek of the NAZARENES (NATSRAYA) who Kept the Torah of the Father and Testimony of the Messiah. The term and followers did not end in the New Testament - it is expressed till the End of Days in the Apocalypse of the book of Revelation whose saints are PRECISELY THOSE WHO KEPT "THE WAY".

The above commandments cited in the book of Revelation written circa 70 AD by Yohanan in Patmos COULD ONLY BE those of God the Father that the Messiah tells us to keep to become Saints in the kingdom of heaven. It is a historical and scriptural impossibility that they could be the revised, counterfeit commandments of Rome produced some 300 years later.

Understanding the TRUE meaning of "The Way the Truth and the Life"

Few understand that the Messiah is the Word made Flesh (John 1:14). Fewer still understand the Word of God is the Torah (see below). When the Messiah tell us He is the Way (John 14:6) we must recognize these two scriptures have a twofold meaning: We must keep the Torah (the Word of God) and give Testimony that He is the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:15-17).  These two premises make up The Nazarene Code that is found throughout the bible. It is no coincidence therefore that the name of the sect of the Messiah's followers was called "The Way" and were referred to as Nazarenes - exactly as was the Messiah identified which was not identifying their place of citizenry nor birth since they came from all Judaea - but rather because the Hebrew name "natsar" from which their name derives from means "guard, keep, watch" - which is what they did just as the Messiah and apostles did: keep, guard and watch the Torah and kept testimony that the Messiah was the Son of God the Father - persevering in this belief even unto death at the hands of the sadistic Pharisee Paul who would later teach a Torah-less (not Word of God) doctrine to Gentiles known today as "Pauline Christianity".

Exodus 18:20
"Teach them the chuqiym (decrees) and the torot (plural form of torah - teachings) and make known to them the way they are to walk and the work they are to do.
 Exodus 18:20

Here we see that chuqiym and torah are the "way". The Hebrew word for "way" is "derek" and is literally a road and the Torah is a road that they are to walk.

Psalm 119:142
"Your righteousness is a righteousness forever and your torah is truth."   Psalm 119:142

Here we see that the "Torah" is "truth".

Deuteronomy 32:47
"For it (Torah) is not an empty word for you, for it (Torah) is your life and in this word you will live long of days in the land there which you are crossing over the Jordan to possess."  Deuteronomy 32:47

Here we see that the Torah is their life and if they walk in this road of Torah they will live a long life in the land that God had promised them.

John 1:1
"In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God"  John 1:1

So many times in the Tenach the words Torah (teachings) and Devar (word) are used synonymously and interchangeably. John is stating that both the word/Torah and God are one and the same. John then says in verse 14 "The word became flesh". Yeshua became the representative of the Torah of God, the torah came to life through Yeshua whose life paralleled Torah in every way.

When Yeshua used the word "I", he is not referring to himself but, instead he is representing the Torah of God. In light of this understanding we can translate John 14:6 as follows.

John 14:6
"The Torah is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but through Torah"

CONCLUSION:

The Testimony of the Messiah is therefore the keeping of His faith (3.) called "The Way" which consists of the precepts (4.) / Law (5.) of the Father AND the Messiah.

So what is Revelation 19:11-13 telling us?  The LAMB's Name IS the WORD of GOD...
The WORD IS the LAW (Isaiah 2:3, Isaiah 5:24, Micah 4:2, John 15:25)...  The Lamb IS the WORD made FLESH (1 John 5:7, John 1:14)...  The Lamb is the WORD IS the LAW/TORAH made FLESH.

Therefore to keep Testimony of the Messiah is to keep the Law - His Law (John 4:23, John 14:12-15, John 14:21, John 14:23)

I am the Way the Truth and the Life
By Jeff A. Benner
"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but through me."  John 14:6

The key word in this passage is the word "I". It is assumed that Yeshua is speaking about himself and that those who follow him will receive truth and life. But, is the "I" of his
statement in reference to himself?
